. . . After a Year and a Day!!!
After a year and a day, Carina crossed her wake at the top
of the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway and completed her Great Loop.
Celebratory conch shells were blown.
Just a mile in the waterway, our Looper friends were waiting
for us on the Grand Harbor Marina dock.
Spiritus’ crew, Eddy and Linda, pulled the celebration
together, including a personalized song to the tune of the Auburn fight song –
sung to an Alabama fan.
Eddy and Linda had crossed their wake just two days earlier.
So it was a double gold flag Loopers party, what we saluted with "Roll Gold."
Thank you to everyone who followed us and supported us. We
especially appreciate the friends we made along the way. Ya’ll come visit us! The Welcome mat is out.
